RTITB Accredited Counterbalance Forklift – Conversion Course

The RTITB Accredited Counterbalance Conversion Course is ideal for certified forklift operators who are already trained on another type of lift truck and now need to extend their skills to safely operate a counterbalance forklift. This efficient, focused course builds on existing operator knowledge, allowing candidates to gain a new qualification in less time than a full novice programme.

Delivered by experienced RTITB instructors, the course covers the key differences between truck types, counterbalance operating principles, and any new safety considerations operators must understand. Practical training ensures learners can confidently and safely handle loads, manoeuvre the truck, and complete all required tasks to RTITB standards.

On successful completion of the theory and practical assessments, candidates will receive RTITB counterbalance accreditation, recognised across the industry and valid for three years.
